LA CASA DEL SENOR (Pinoso area) Pinoso is located in the far corner of the Vinalopo Mitja by the border with Murcia. Pinoso is a small quiet town surrounded by pine groves of the Sierra del Coto. The vineyards around Pinoso produce high quality grapes and the town is an important producer of wine, the Bodega Co-operatice Wine Cellar is able to store 14.000.000 lites of the stuff. August sees the lively fiestas celebrated with parades and fireworks. There are many attractions in the area including the red and white marble mines. Only about 56kms to Alicante airport and blue flag beaches, 30kms to the nearest large service centre of Elda and 35kms to the nearest golf course(Alenda), Pinoso has a solid infrastructure with a selection of modern amenities including medical centre, schools, theatres, restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, indoor fresh produce market held every day, excellent sports centre with outdoor and indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, football pitches and gymnasium. A street market is held on Sunday at Alguena a peaceful farming village 6kms from Pinoso. The Pinoso area has attracted a number of foreign nationals seeking a quieter alternative to the lifestyle of the coast.
