Salobreña is one of the pretiest villages in southern Granada, and is
localted in the heart of the Costa Tropical, at 100 km from Málaga, 70 from
Granada and La Alhambra, 100 from Sierra Nevada with the highest peaks on
the peninsula and 13 from Almuñécar and 7 from Motril. The Sierra de Lújar
protect the Costa Tropical from northerly winds and create a subtropical
microclima with 320 days of sunshine a year an average temperature of around
20º where all types of subtropical fruits are grown in the fertile plants.
Cliffs, coves and wide beaches make up the landscape of this coveted
coastline conquered by numerous civilisations. Phoenicians, Romans and Arabs
have fought over it and left behind traces of their cultures.
