Granada is an exciting city of contrasts with its skyline dominated by the world renowned Alhambra Palace. The large city of Granada, formely the capital of the Moorish empire, was occupied by the Moors until 1492 when it was liberated. Granada boasts some fantastic historical buildings and excellent shopping with many designer shops and of course El Corte Ingles. Sierra Nevada, the well known Ski resort, is located only 25 minutes drive from the centre and offers superb ski-ing for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
